Well, I can share my method ;-) Cook the onion, carrots and celery in some olive oil. Cook the chicken separately. (I boiled mine) add mushrooms and green beans to the other veggies. When the green beans are at your favorite texture (cooked, but crisp...not soft) add salt, pepper and garlic powder. Then add half a stick of butter and let it melt. Add some flour to make a roux...just a tiny bit more than your butter amount. Let set for a minute or two. Whisk in half and half. I had almost a whole pint....prob 3/4 of it. Then whisk in chicken broth....about 3 cups. Ad this a little at a time and just watch to see when it's thickened how you want it. While it's simmering, shred the chicken and sprinkle the pile of chicken w salt, pepper and garlic powder. Then stir it into the cream/ veg mix. Pour it in your preferred pie crust and top w another. I baked for 45 min at 375. Baking time Nd temp will be determined by your pie crust. Thanks for commenting! Wasn't sure anyone is reading this besides Brad.
Surely there is a recipe? Do I just not see it? Oh, that's right...this is Jen;) Guess I'll wing it!

Is that pie crust dough you made yourself on the foil? Yes, I'm blogging again so I scooted over here to check you out :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, I made the dough. The recipe I used makes several crusts.
